What is the Partners for Hope initiative?

Partners for Hope is a bold five-year program designed to show families a pathway to life transformation from poverty to economic responsibility. The program grew out of a Development Plan created by fifty-three (53) corporate, community and church leaders throughout the greater Norcross area.

Who is leading the Partners for Hope fundraising campaign for the Church Division?

Eddie Bradford and Dr. David Shaw have agreed to serve as Co-Chairmen of the Campaign Leadership Council for the Church Division.

Is Partners for Hope affiliated with any other organization?

Partners for Hope is a community-wide initiative of the Norcross Cooperative Ministry. The Norcross Cooperative Ministry Board of Directors includes church representatives from our supporting churches.

How is Partners for Hope funded?

Partners for Hope will be underwritten by a community-wide fund raising initiative. This visionary program will cost $3,500,000 over five years, or an average of $700,000 per year.

What does the Partners for Hope development plan include?

There are three major components in the Partners for Hope Development Plan:

• HOPE IN MOTION to help move people from poverty to economic responsibility
• PROVIDE NEW AND EXPANDED GENERAL SERVICES by increasing financial aid for emergency housing and engaging children and families in beneficial programs
• EDUCATE AND COMMUNICATE by expanding awareness of local needs and informing supporters of the progress of this initiative

Who will benefit from the Partners for Hope initiative?

EVERYONE! Every church, every business and every man, woman and child in the greater Norcross community will benefit. The mission of Partners for Hope is to engage the necessary leadership to define and address our communities’ needs and opportunities.

• As a collaborative partner of churches, business and other helping agencies, the Norcross Cooperative Ministry accomplishes far more than any one “partner” can
• In 2016, the Norcross Cooperative Ministry provided over $1,749,635 in food, clothing and services to those in need throughout Gwinnett County.
• Area churches and businesses have a “one stop” ministry they can recommend to those in need
• The Norcross Cooperative Ministry plays a significant role in greatly reducing the number of families forced to live on the streets in Gwinnett County and the surrounding area through its emergency housing budget and “shelter grants”.

How much should we pledge?

Each request for an investment to Partners for Hope has been carefully considered and evaluated. A campaign volunteer will contact you to arrange an appointment to answer any questions you have about Partners for Hope and to discuss your participation in this visionary program.

Is our investment to Partners for Hope tax deductible?

An investment in Partners for Hope is 100% tax deductible as it relates to a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization. Please consult your tax advisor regarding your specific tax situation.

Will we be kept informed about the progress and achievements of Partners for Hope?

The Norcross Cooperative Ministry will be accountable. NCM will publish an annual “Report Card” that will measure the Ministry’s progress in accomplishing each of the Partners for Hope goals and objectives. As a Shareholder, you will receive regular updates of the progress of this important program.

How will we receive recognition for our support of Partners for Hope?

At the conclusion of the Partners for Hope campaign, an Honor Roll of Investors will be published in our local newspaper and displayed on a plaque at the Norcross Cooperative Ministry in honor of all who are sponsoring this extraordinary five-year program.
